Tea House in a Hutong of Nature
In the same site, we were required to design a weekend lodging for this final project. The lodging must meet its function as 'a place where one escapes for relaxation, recreation, and vacation for a short period of time'. The spatial arrangement and functionality of the space were the main point of this project.

The concept chosen for my weekend lodging is a teahouse in nature which was inspired by the site itself where there were many elderlies that enjoy drinking tea in the presence of nature. The spaces are arrange as such to enable the user to experience a journey of reaching enlightenment, on account that many believe teahouse is a place to reach enlightenment, at the teahouse to respect and be humble toward nature through the play of light, vistas and, without doubt, the help of the mother nature itself. The lodge also integrates with the site through the natural lighting and ventilation, plantation, and also landscape.

The project taught me of how the context influence the design process. Spatial organization skill are also learned through this project to enhance the functionality and program of the spaces.
