In this project, we are to express either our persona, experiences or feelings in a form of an abstract artwork. This project introduces the basic process of designing and aims to unravel our creative side.

As I am an international student, it's a lot harder for me to adapt to the new environments and school. Sometimes it made me feel lost but I have to keep moving on. That is what I want to interpret through this artwork that I named "The Growing Self".

I represented myself as a tree that grows in an irregular way and bent, entering the circular portal which represents the new world. I learned that there are many aspects to think about to designed something, such as narratives, forms, materiality, technicality, and many more.
