Skeletal Construction is one of the most used structures for building construction. For that reason, it is important for us to understand how it works and the application in order to make the structure able to withstand the loads and forces.
As a group, we were asked to design and construct a temporary bus shelter. The shelter must be constructed to be able to fit 5-6 people on a scale of 1:5. The construction is also required to reflect actual structure elements such as joints, building components, weather resistant, etc. Lastly, the model of the shelter is tested under loads of certain weight to prove it to be qualified. An A3 report is also provided to show our analysis and progress of the shelter design.
