For this project, we were to form a group and conduct site visits. The objective is to introduce basic principles of construction process through real-life projects as part of design process. Upon visiting the site, we are required to analyzed the construction of some components such as the preliminary works, foundation, structure, staircase and wall. The information that we gathered are compiled into a report accompanied with annotated sketches and pictures.

There were 3 sites that we visited. Site 1, located in Bandar Rimbayu, is a clubhouse under the name of Sime Darby Properties. Site 2, is a 4-storey bungalow house and site 3 is a MRT station at Chan Sow Lin station.

This project taught us the construction sequences on site and the technology that are used on site. We also get to experience the real construction process and developed our ability to demonstrate our understanding and knowledge of construction, material, technology through manual sketches, drawings and detailing.
