Our task was to choose a building within Malaysia to identify and document the deteriorating parts of the building, where then we had to propose a new use for the building.

 

For the project, our group chose an old shophouse located in Klang. Currently, the ground floor of the shophouse is still being used as a local neighborhood cafe, Seraph Awaken. However, as the upper levels are in poor condition, it is only being used as storage space for the cafe. Our proposal seeks to enhance the quality of the urban environment by invigorating the area with a vibrant array of activities within the shophouse.
